NPRRW takes places two of every three years, rotating between Regina and Saskatoon.

The NPRRW will have Plenary Sessions, Break-out Sessions, a Hands-on Case Study, Rapid Case Studies, Tradeshow and Poster Session.
Registration will open in late October. The Zeffy link will be available then.
We are using Zeffy for NPRRW registrations. Zeffy does not charge the organizers for transaction fees. However under this model, during check-out,Zeffy does ask registrants for optional contributions to keep Zeffy free for non-profits. We understand that many organizations or government agencies are not able to make a donation to Zeffy. The contribution to Zeffy can be customized to 0.

The Call for Abstracts for Oral Presentations and Poster Presentations will NOW OPENED!
The overarching theme of the 2027 Native Prairie Restoration / Reclamation Workshop is “From Seed to Stewardship”.
Within this theme, topics explored will be:
o Seed Selection, Sourcing and Methodology
o Site Preparation
o Prescribed Fire
o Soil and biocrust
o Biosecurity and Invasives species
o Restoration outcomes and monitoring
o Stewardship
o New technology and tools
o Industry
o Building relationships with Indigenous communities
o Skills Development

Registration
All poster and presentation presenters must register for the event. Early Bird registration is strongly recommended.
Oral presentations will be 23 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Concurrent sessions will be organized by topic and presenters will be notified about their scheduled presentation time in December.
The submission deadline for oral presentation abstracts is November 19th, 2026 at 5 PM.
Abstracts must be under 250 words, and should include a statement of objectives, brief description of methods, results, lessons learned and conclusions. Projects need to pertain to native prairie restoration or reclamation in some way. Do not include author information or title in the abstract content. Notice of decision will be made by December 4th, 2026 via email.
If you need a deadline extension because requesting approval to submit an abstract within your agency/organization/ministry takes time, please contact Carolyn at pcap@sasktel.net to discuss, as an extension may be granted.

Posters can be in the beginning phases of projects, project plans, or student projects. Notice of decision will be made by December 17th, 2026 via email.

Poster authors will need to bring a printed version of their poster to display at the workshop. The posters will be visible for the duration of the workshop. Presenting work as posters, allows authors to interact with attendees and discuss their research at length. Poster presenters are requested to be available to discuss their posters during the designated poster session (February 10th, 5 PM-6:00 PM).
